Amy B. Goldsmith
As Co-Chair of the Intellectual Property Practice Group at Tarter Krinsky & Drogin LLP, Amy B. Goldsmith partners with clients to provide practical legal advice and connections to grow their businesses. A strategic advisor whose specialty is intellectual property (patent, copyright, trademark, privacy and entertainment law), she works to protect the global interests of national and international clients in a variety of industries, including fashion, cosmetics, pet products, technology, entertainment, publishing, biotech, medical devices, exercise equipment, web-based business applications, and consumer and designer goods. She helps clients with immediately recognizable brands achieve or maintain their status as profitable and innovative businesses, while helping them develop plans to minimize legal risks. Ms. Goldsmith is an Officer of the New York Women’s Bar Association and chairs the NYWBA Continuing Legal Education Committee. She is on the Board of Directors of Savvy Ladies, a non-profit whose mission is to educate women on financial issues. She is also a member of the American Bar Association and the
International Trademark Association. Ms. Goldsmith is a frequent lecturer on intellectual property topics for Lawline, and she has served on the Advisory Board of, and as a speaker for, TedxTimesSquare. She received her B.S. in Biology (with a concentration in Genetics and Development) from Cornell University in 1982 and her J.D. cum laude from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1985.
