Virginia A. LoPreto is the principal of LoPreto + Levy, LLP, a small boutique firm focused on the representation of parties in all aspects of matrimonial and family law matters, including trials and appeals. Early in her career, Ms. LoPreto handled criminal defense cases, gaining a considerable amount of trial experience that she has carried over in her current practice. She has tried numerous custody and financial trials in New York County, Supreme Court and Family Court. Ms. LoPreto is an active member in several bar associations and professional organizations. She has been the co-chair of the NYWBA Matrimonial and Family Law Committee with the Hon. Lori S. Sattler since 2012. Ms. LoPreto has been an Officer of the NYWBA since 2013. She is also a certified Law Guardian on the Part 36 Panel and is a current member of the Matrimonial Committee of the New York City Bar, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, and the Interdisciplinary Forum on Mental Health and Family Law.
